Labrador

Fished the Flowers River this august. Fishing was challenging with high waters, cold and rainy weather. Fish were caught and the scenery and the Lodge were both fabulous.Click image for larger version

Looks like a great place, on the list. Did the black flies try and carry you off or was it manageable?

DEET soaked neck tube and hat did the trick.. (Non DEET repellent for the hands...)

I was there from mid through late July for my third season in a row - high water year is an understatement. It never really went down from early July run-off levels this year, and I hear that some of those August storms brought the river up to crazy levels.

The runs were massively down this year too, compounding the difficulty of the conditions.

Still a beautiful place though!
