Eastern block europe

Planning a holiday next April may ish, thru the Baltic countries into the eastern block countries. After a little research , I see there are some fishing opportunities in the areas I am travelling. Any advice etc would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

One advice I can give you not to call it anymore Eastern Block.... These countries were occupied by Soviet Regime from 1945-1990. They regained their autonomy after Soviet Empire collapsed around 1990-1991.
bender, Lukasz and ENSO like this.

Bc steel, what country are you going to visit? I live in Poland now and can help. Sea trout spring run is not what is used to be and virtually no salmon. There are a few costal rivers small to medium size where you can fish for sea trout, 4-15lb. April can be good, however beats where you can swing a fly are few and far between. Rega, Slupia, Parseta are the rivers of choice. Good news it's cheap If you're after salmon then your best bet is trolling in the sea, about $150 per day and they supply everything you need. Some big fish +20lb. Early April is a prime time. Other option is sea trout fishing from the beach but again you need a local guide to take you to the right spot.
