i was able to convince the wife that taking the kids up to Southern Oregon would be a good idea over the presidents day weekend and im just looking for any info as to where to fish obviously we can't predict flows but how far up river with winter fish be by that time? we'll be staying in the Ashland area, i assume its too early to fish the upper river from Touvelle to the dam but any info would be greatly appreciated. would it be worth the added trek up to the umpqua?
I prefer fishing the middle river that time of year ... Whitehorse to Hog Creek.
The best swing water ... !!!
But ... That being said <> Since the dams have come out on the Rogue, the upper river is getting earlier returns of Winter fish, and bigger Winter fish.
I'd suggest you contact Stuart Warren Southern Oregon Guide Service: (541) 324-1009 <> One of the best two handed swingers on the Rogue.
Is there much bank fishing opportunities in that stretch of the river?
Thanks,
Chris
