alagnak canceled goodnews a viable option?

hey guys .. we had a float tip booked for the 8th-16th on the alagnak but it just got canceled due to dangerously high water .. i was wondering if anyone has any experience on the goodnews river? or would that probably be dealing with the same high flows as the alagnak even though its in a different area/drainage? cant find any flows up there.. just trying to figure out if its worth salvaging or if i should just cancel and try again next year.
any other suggestions . what would you guys do? if the goodnews is a good option what branch would you take?? .. is there no cfs gauges in alaska that you can look up?

thanks for any imput guys its greatly appreciated .

I don't believe there are any USGS river gauges over there. The best advice I could offer would be to contact any lodges you can find on the river and e-mail / call to get current conditions. I am in South Central in the MatSu Valley and everything is high here but beginning to drop. The dates you mention are close and I would doubt things will calm down in 2 weeks but it could. I have a fishing buddy working at a lodge on Good News but no way to reach him.
