WA Alpine Lakes Trips This Summer?

Hey I'm curious if anyone is doing any hiking up to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness this summer? I would love to get to know the area better. Any experts with advice on trails or destinations?

Thanks!

I no longer live in WA and I've done 0 fishing up there, but, I've climbed in that region a ton. There are two main trailheads...Snow Lakes and Stuart/Colchuck Lake. Alternatively, you can access the zone from the south via the Teanaway/Ingalls TH. This option allows you to get into the southern Stuart range while potentially bypassing permit allocations, but is most likely more useful as a climber, not a hiker (although Ingalls lake is a nice hiking destination in it's own right). And on that note, most of the alpine lakes area is under a rather strict and hard to get permit lottery. Most of my trips have been LONG car-to-car days.

Forgive my ignorance. Permits are for motorized vehicle access?

Sorry, I should have been more specific there. Permits are required for overnight backpacking trips into a large portion (not all) of the alpine lakes wilderness. You can day hike in the area all you want without a lottery permit. More info here https://www.recreation.gov/wildernes...O&parkId=72280
