We decided to make our way up to the "T", so i spent the night at a buddy's house and departed for our day trip at 4:20 am, our arival time was 6:55 am, top speed through Yale around 145km an hour. Anyways, we were out to find some early springs, and few scrappy rainbows. We managed to connect with one chinook and a bunch of bows. Sorry for the lack of pics, but fishing is sometimes just to important. We started down in the canyon trying to find the springs, then headed up to martel for a bit of rainbow action, and then back down to rafting launch pad.
water is really high right now, martel isn't fishing half as good as it will later on in the summer. Only managed 5 out of it yesterday. Usually we get a bunch more. I went up to the side channel around the bend and managed 4 small fish around 8", only caught one big fish in martel, around 5 ish, the rest of the fatties were down in the canyon.
