Labrador July 5-12, 2009

Good day anglers,

I have availability in my week on an "almost private" river in Labrador for Atlantic Salmon angling. I am trying to assist the camp in securing additional rods for the slot.

Prices are very reasonable, and include lodging, guides, and final float transport to the camp. The scenery is un-touched, and the catch stat's are very high.

The camp holds 8 rods, and we currently have 3 spaces open.

As the camp owners are not site sponsors, I do not want to include all information without consent of the moderators. Please PM me or send an email to [email protected].

Please note that this is single-handed rod territory.

Thank you,

Chris

Trip update: July 5-12

I would like to post some photos of this year's trip, but my camera did not make it home from a Bon Jovi concert the week prior.

We ended up with only 4 anglers in camp! Late arrival due to heavy weather in the area, and the float planes were grounded. Weather was cold!!! Air at 41F and water at 45F. Rising water (up 18 inches in 12 hours), and late salmon runs all along the coast of newfoundland/labrador.

The temperatures shifted by the end of the week; Air at 87F in shade, and water at 62F and dropping fast.

We had good conditions while in camp, and although the numbers were off from expected, the fishing was consistant. We had more MSW salmon than in previous years, and the grilse were just starting their heavy runs as we left. It was my best year fo MSW at 12 hooked, and a reasonable year for grilse at 26 hooked.

I did converse with some people who got more infomation, but in the end could not go. Feel free to stay in touch for next years availability.

Tight lines to all,

Chris
