British Columbia Questions

I'm flying down to Seattle with family this weekend and will be driving back. Can anyone advise how/where to get fishing licenses in BC or Yukon Territory? Can a day license, or 3 day one be purchased. This is not a fishing trip, but I would like to throw a line at a nice stream that we could stop at for a little bit.

What is a bull trout? It is my understanding that it is in the Char family, and what we call up here in AK a Dolly Varden. Can anyone advise.

I'm bringing a single hander with nymphs. Anything different?

There will be a serious trip to this area in the future, but right now, it's all family with fishing as the frosting.

Thanks for your help and advice.

BC fishing and Bullies vs dollies

http://www.fishing.gov.bc.ca/docs/tu...or_anglers.pdf

Bull trout and Dolly Varden are both char (Salvelinus sp.) which look very similar. Count the branchiostegal rays. More than 23 and its a bull trout, less than 23 and its probably a dolly. They do hybridize where they overlap.
