Gaula mid-June

Dear All:

My brother-in-law and myself are thinking of trying out a week on
the Gaula in Norway (2nd half of June) this year and we are currently
evaluating several options.

Has anyone experience with the Lax-a Angling club and their services/beats, etc.?

Your feedback is very welcome - as are any recommendations you
might have regarding the fishing, do's and dont's over there.

Yup - but only in Iceland. Not sure about their Gaula beats, but they know their stuff. I've always been well looked after. I would usually say mind the prices, but having just seen their 1,ooo euro deal for a self-catering (but guided) week on the Gaula, suspect that is a good deal. Fyi, with Spring having broken early this year and the net in the Trondheim Fjord rivers off, I would have thought there was a great opportunity for a big spring fish.

Gaula

Hi,
i fish the Gaula since 1980,although i haven't fished their beats(yet) i'm convinced that they offer a good fishing for a very reasonable price. The beats are located in the middle section (above the Gaulfossen/waterfall), which should be perfect for the time of your trip. Fishing has started very promissing on the 1st of June and many fish have passed the waterfall already. Here you will find more information: www.gaula.no

Tl,
Sven
