Argentina: Irigoyen and Malenguena rivers

Hello,
I am heading for the above mentioned rivers in February with a small party of friends and wondered if any of the members had previous experience of seatrout fishing in these two rivers, because none of us do?
Thanks in advance for your info!

Hi Salmon Addict:
I never been there, but we do fish a lot of similar small rivers on the Chilean side of Tierra del Fuego.

Don´t forget to bring your 8wt one handed, these types of river are not like traditional Sea Trout of the Rio Grande or Gallegos. Try to bring versi tip lines with short tips. Strong leaders because of big sea trout are just in the middle of the river between the submerged logs. You can do some snook fishing at the rivers mouth.

Any general advice please let me know.

Cristián

You don't need to be mad to fish for salmon, but it does help.....!
