Cowlitz up around Randle, WA

I just received information on a RV park in Randle, WA and am interested in what the fishing is like on the river in the Randle area.

Haven't fished that stretch of the river and someone else will have better info, but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

The Cowlitz River comes off the Cowlitz glacier on Mt. Ranier. That far up the Cowlitz, the fishing is really going to depend on when you're there and how hot it is. If you're there in the summer or when it's unseasonably hot in the Spring, you're likely to have high stream flows and off-color milky water. Not the best fishing conditions even if fish are around.
