Question Need Help with a North American Destination

I'm trying to help a friend come up with a fishing destination in North America for a major client of his. They want to set up something really nice that would be a change of pace from the client's normal fishing. Here are the requirements:

1.) The client is very into fly fishing (but not necessarily spey rods).
2.) No salt water locations (he lives in Florida and does that a lot).
3.) Hard-fighting fish.
4.) Location should be compatible with a single-hand fly rod.
5.) The time frame for the trip is sometime in June of this year.
6.) Restricted to the continental U.S. (might be able to work with Canada)

Any suggestions that meet the above requirements would be greatly appreciated.

My suggestion would be to go fish the salmon fly hatch. Varies year to year and from spot to spot, but june should be prime time and there are several places one could go. Perhaps a float trip on the Deschutes or Black Canyon of the Gunnisson.
Or go to Montana. I had a fabulous trip to the Missouri in June 2 years ago where I stayed at the and fished with Joe for 5 days. Had some great dry fly fishing as well as stripping buggers in the morning until the PMDs started to come off.
Dont know if you are going to be able to fit the "hard fighting" category for a guy coming from Florida but it would be a change of pace.
