If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles (spey rods). Doug Larson

Take only photographs, retain only memories, leave only a good impression of yourself, perhaps just footprints.

Go to flies for Kola in June:

Green Highlander 1 to 1.5" tube

Original Icelandic Snaelda (Black)

Snaelda with black/orange/yellow tail, black body

Phatagorva tube

Any orange/yellow combo tube

Also, take some 4 to 5" Sunray shadows

after that, it's personal preference/confidence.

I'm off to the Kola 1st week June '08

Try out these links for the flies you may like:

The Sunray Shadow uses white Bucktail under the long black fibres:

Small stuff in Green, Black and Orange, nice sparse doubles
Buck Bugs and Green Machine small stuff
Collies and few other hitch flies

A few big patterns as well

been there last year

I was in Kola week 29 2007.
Nice fishing. Too much water, river quite high, but fishable mainly from boat.
We got 176 fish for 10 rods, 2 of them first time on salmon fishing, one first time ever fishing.
I got photos of the fishing log book where you can see flies and sizes.
Please contact me and I can help you about succesful flies last year.

We got nice results with samller flies than those noted above.
You can see there the contact link and some photos about that trip.I'd like to be there again, but I'm going Ponoi week 32. Any been there so late?
