location of OP honey holes

Just kidding...

I'm a Great Lakes trib fisherman (based in NYC, unfortunately) taking my 1st trip to the Olympic Peninsula the last week of Feb. I'll be staying in Forks. Can people advise on favorite spots to grab a bite, have a couple of pints, etc.? I want to make sure I hit the essential pubs and whatnot after a full day on the river.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I figured. I just thought I would ask in case there was a good place to grab a beer and tell fish stories.

"the inn place" has the best breakfast in my opinion, and tend to has more fly guys hanging out. Do you have a guide hired for the trip?

The pizza joint has excellent microbrews on tap and the resturant just north of Forks at the corner of the road to Mora has excellent seafood. The Bear Creek Diner has some of the best burgers you will ever get.

I usually stay at the Forks Motel. The Inn Place is right across the street, so I eat breakfast and dinner there a lot. The coffee shop is good for breakfast too, and like the Inn Place, they will pack you a lunch if you want. I have a beer or two with dinner, so I don't even know if there's a real bar in Forks. Good food and drinks also at the Mexican restaurant. The pizza joint may have good microbrew, but the pizza was so bad I don't plan to go back. I have a bottle of Scotch for a nightcap at the motel. I'm not anti-social, but just don't stay up very late.

The upshot is that no one goes to Forks for the dining experience.

if you eat the pizza there it's good, if you get it to go it has been undercooked in my experience. North-south (or south-north, dont remember) is awesome chinese food, get the seafood fried rice! The forks motel is the real deal as well.
