Money, politics, corruption, greed.
The "things that make the world go round."
They don't speak for the people who depend on healthy stocks, the fishermen, or the salmon.
All I can do as an average joe fishermen is to do my part in promoting catch and release and definitely not buy their magazine subscriptions.
John the average joe fishermen who is a "beggar at the banquet " has no voice .However when 87% are sitting at the banquet are for C&R that voice might appear to be addressed but won't be directly acted upon when the nucleus at the head table don't go along with the wishes of the 87% . When 88% or more are at the banquet and voicing their views the head table will be forced to move from making reactive decisions to a more proactive mode .
right now the FQSA are responding reactively to what is needed to be heard but are definitely not acting upon what they are saying Our fight (C&R) is based on honest statements .Theirs is not and the change is rapidly coming
The guerilla " apocalypse " C&R movement has a lot more competent generals in charge this past few months
BTW the " apocalypse " denotation was their wording not ours
Don't sweat the bad casts for they sometimes bring you fish
