Visiting Seattle: 5 May

Hey guys,

Im in Seatac area on May 5th for business; so the calendar rules my options. Making my way up into BC as well.

Wondering what general opportunities are within a few hours drive. Have no clue what may be on the beginning or end of its run there, kind of an in-between time? I'll have a rental car and am physically up for rugged hikes of a few miles if needed. I have a good book map of your fine state, too.

Please PM me if you don't want to dish too much stuff here....i get it.......and thanks so much in advance.

Tight Lines,

SD

Definitely an in-between time. Puget Sound rivers don't open until June 1. The Cowlitz and the coast for late winters and early springers is about your best option.

Oh, thats sure to be a hot bite. Regrettably, I dont think adding 32 hours of driving is in my best interest at this time, but thanks -----and tight lines !!!!!! Im thinking Lilloet if the runoff isn't too bad.

Definitely an in-between time, steelhead wise. Prime for trout fishing on the Yakima River and Seep Lakes (2 and 3 hours, respectively). Seattle is 2 hours from the Cowlitz. It's early for summer steelhead, but they do show up then when the run size is good. If you like, PM me when the time is close. If water conditions are good, and the fish are in, I'll be going there on a regular basis, with an open seat in my boat.
