looking for advise for rivercampgrounds in BC

Hi,

after doing a RV trip in BC Canada in 2013 & 2014 we decide to go back again in 2016.

The good thing of a RV holiday in BC is that I can fish in the morning and evening while doing the social things the rest of the day with the wife. I will not stay longer than 2 days at one place. At this moment I've planned to revisit campgrounds laying at the Campbell River, Bulkley and Skeena. I manage to catch a lot of Trout, Pink, 1 Coho and 1 big Steelhead up to now and thats what is making my holiday complete. I know for the real BC fisherman who are doing drifts with boats and fishingholidays this is not enough but for me this is the best of both worlds and I would be happy to match this catches again.

If there are some experienced colleques who can give me advise of other campgrounds on other rivers I would be very happy with that.
When I was at the Kispiox in 2014 it was in a weekend and I was not allowed to fish. Residence only in the weekends. So please be aware I'm not Canadian if you give me advises I'm Dutch. All advises who are giving me the possibility of catching some more Salmon/Steelhead at my holiday are very welcome and appreciated.

What time of year are you looking at? And what is your home town? You never know you may be a relative of my Brother In-law

Hi,

did you fish the Skeena at Ksan or also the Bulkley?
What was the period you've fished there?

He is not very close to Rotterdam but if you want to spend a night on Round Lake just south of Telkwa let me know and I will PM you their info.
Most folks like the Smither's City campground for a base camp it is on the Bulkley.

Grant,

thank you for offering!

Going to make my routeplan the coming weeks.
Maybe a Round lake trip will fit but have to look overal because I only have 3 weeks to do my tour again.

Normaly I stay at the Fort Telkwa Campground because it's on the Bulkley and the people are very nice!
From their I can do my fishing by walking and up to know I manage to catch my fish even it's not in the double digits it was making me happy.

...There is a rv campground right on the kispiox river that I highly recommend you stay at on the sept end of your trip...I was there for two weeks and met a lot of wonderful people, I ended up meeting Rockwell Hammond and having one of the best adventures of my life...Pm me for details...
