John Day Guide?

Hello,

My father is coming out from the East Coast on a surprise visit this weekend and I thought we might go steelhead fishing in some territory I don't know - the John Day. Because we don't know the water, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a guide for the John Day. Can anyone point me in the right directions? Thanks.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Brandon Bischof. He's over on the John Day this time of year, before moving over to the Sandy later on in Winter.

I think the OP was talking about the John Day. If Marty Sheppard is not available you might want to try DeschutesAngler fly shop or Brian Silvey.
