Salmon River ID near Riggins

Thinking of a long weekend in the Riggins area near the end of September. I'm familiar with the Salmon around Salmon/North Fork but have never fished that far down. Is there ample good 2 handed water that would make the trip worth it?

There has been and still going wildfire east of Riggins, right now they have closed the road through the fire area. Tepee Springs fire is on inciweb site look, and check for conditions in the that area up river of Riggins. The fishing might be better in Oct/Nov. plenty of good two-handed water down river from Riggins to Whitebird. If the weather remains warm fishing will be slow.
aaron s. and MT Box like this.

The release ensures another dance
