I need a pike fix!!!

Living in Chicago is not too bad for pike junkie like me but good places are hird to find and usually its seasonal thing if you want to catch decent pike on fly.

Are there any private stocked lakes with thick population of big pike? I realize Canada all inclusive trips are where its at but I really am on the budget. Im willing to travel and hire guides. What would fix me up is several fish per day something in 36"+.

Those who live in Midwest please guide to the right direction. I will be in headed to Upper Peninsula Michigan next week. Anything good going there?

Flyfishing, Jeeps, tattoos, love, rock & roll and other religious matter.

I used to drive to the north end of Lake Huron in Ontario every year for a long weekend of pike, walleye, and musky fishing. Id usually spend about $500 total per person (two of us) for 4 days fishing and thats on gas up, boat hire, cabin hire, food, booze, etc.

Plenty of places in Canada to fish on the cheap like that (or cheaper if youve your own boat). This was on the French River complex which is 13 hours drive from me, not too bad for a long weekend (just make the drive up overnight), and it looks like only 10 hours from Chicago.

Plenty of other places.
