Skeena bar options around Terrace

I'm going to be in Terrace for a few days and am looking for some options on getting out onto the bars. I am going to haul my Driftboat (for use on the Bulkley) which has an 80lb Riptide trolling motor. Was thinking maybe I can use it on the Skeena too.

Having never been there not sure if there are any close launches around Terrace that I could run out to a nearby bar and still be able to get back to the ramp without have to run several miles. That river looks huge on Google Earth and having limited horsepower with the 80# thrust just don't want to get myself stuck.

Any suggestions for boat ramps around Terrace that would let me get out onto a bar?

Thanks
Shane

Even at low autumn flows I think the river currents on parts of the Skeena might be a bit much for an electric trolling motor to overcome. There are a lot of bars with drive and walk access however.

I sort of suspected that was the case given how big that river looks on Google Earth. Will likely stick with the drive and walk options then use the boat when on the Bulkley.

I'm definitely going to hit those bars too. :-)

Canadians are friendly. Bring whisky and offer them a drink or two, and you'll have many new best friends forever. Booze and especially beer is rediculously expensive in BC.

I was up there in June and was told BC means Bring Cash especially for alcohol. I saw a 6 pack of beer for $23 in an gov't store and it wasn't anything fancy. Have fun on your trip!
