carlislert, I must say your shared sources will prove really helpful for all those people who want to visit this destination in coming days. I also visited your shared links and got a lot of information after reading these posts. Last year I also visited the Bonaventure River with my few fellows just after my niagara tours. During this trip we had a lot of fun.

Thanks for that Kendrick! If you require any assistance for future trips, let me know!! In the meantime check out the water levels of the Bonnie, well above average for this time of year. This should make those who were concerned about low water levels feel much better. Tight lines!

Depends where you're going in Gaspe. Southern shore Gaspe rivers like the Bonnie and the tip rivers like the York have plenty of water right now. Rivers on the north side of the Gaspe like the Matane are running a lot lower, along with those on the north shore of the St. Lawrence. Those areas got a lot less snow.

Ive just been looking at the Gaspe gauges which are looking pretty promising. Im not going up this June as per usual, maybe in the fall (never caught a tartan-wearing crocodile before ). Cant speak to the west side of the mountains.

I did just recently fly directly over the peninsula, right over Gaspe town and down the east side on a clear day. A week and a half ago now. I was surprised how much snow was still in the mountains all the way down on the east side of the Chic Chocs.

Good luck to all you guys who are getting ready!

Mike
