Basic spey casting instruction

Is any one aware of any spey instructors or classes in the western ny area.i just bought a spey rod and since i cant even cast my regular fly rod i thought it might be a good idea to get some tutoring before i go out fishing. My fishing buddys are horrified with the idea of me using a 12 foot rod with 100 feet of line flying around in the air with a hook attached to the end ,without some basic training.
thanks

Yes, it took me about 3 weeks to figure this one out myself! If you hit the little box under this post that says PM, you can send a personal message to the person who posted. By clicking the USER CP thingy up in the top of the screen, you can check and manange your messages.

Hope that helps!

You can also click on the (members) link button above and look up people. The listing contains (pm) buttons to send private messages per membername there too.

I second the October Spey clave!!! Great time last October.

Last I heard the Clave is to be October 2/3 this year. But that is subject to Neil and Rick's final plans.
