Hodman H-Lock Boots- Very disappointing

I have worn these boots less than two dozen times. . The stiching on the back has torn on both boots, and one of the soles has cracked. Hodgman tells me that since they are past the one year warranty, they will not make it right. These boots were not inexpensive. I think the quality is very poor and I won't buy from Hodgman again. Just want to let folks know of my experience. This was a good idea badly implemented

I have a very similar story, mine basic disintegrated in less than a year.

Ai had a pair of Simms boots do that in less than a year. Simms wouldn't honor them too.

Pick a brand, there's always some horror stories. Try not to break the bank and hope you don't get a lemon I guess. I mean maybe these Pat/Danner boots will manage to live up to their claims or durability, but I surely won't be spending $600 on wading boots anytime soon.

That sucks the boots failed so quickly, but my friend has a pair of ~70$ Hodgman waders that lasted like 10 years. I have a Hodgman wading coat that is great. I also have 2 pairs of Simms waders that leak like sieves. One pair I sent back in after repairing dozens of pinholes (less than a year used), the other pair I only wear in the summers bc of the number of leaks. The Simms boots I have both laces just broke because the lace eyelets are too rough on them. There are problems with all manufacturers and products, unfortunately.
