Switching JW Young 1535 to Left Hand Retrieve

Can anyone advise me on how to switch my JW Young 1535 reel from righthand to lefthand retrieve? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a 1535 but do have a few 1540's which I think are the same only wider. All you need to do is turn the palls, one off, one on as shown in Tom's picture above. If done correctly you should hear the difference when turning the spool. It will be louder outgoing than incoming. I love these J.W. Youngs and use them regularly. Have at it.

Which way to the river?
