SA SYSTEM 8 and 9 reels sizes?

I know these questions have been asked but I can't find the answers. What are the spool widths of the System 8 and System 9 reels, not the 8/9?

I am considering one or the other for 4116 trout spey rod. Does either (or both) have enough room to hold some backing, a powerflex shooting line + a Commando 275 or Rage 300?

Thanks.

The system 8 is exactly the same as the old (not the new LT models which are different) Marquis 8/9. Likewise the system 9 is the same reel as old Marquis 10. Not quite sure the story behind the different numbering choice history, but spools are %100 interchangeable between the matching SA and Hardy versions. Believe all those are 11/16” wide spools. They both have more than enough room for what you want, as well about the right weight. I use the 8/9 on a 13’ 5 wt and the 10 on a 13’ 6wt and am happy with the balances.

Thanks man, that is exactly what I wanted to know. The new models of Hardy reels with the same names as the classics makes it hard to find those details.
