In Memory of Xgolfman

I’m very sad to report that Paul Dudley, known here as Xgolfman, passed away this morning after a long and brave battle. He was a fixture on the Skagit and Sauk rivers and was never without his dog Lola. RIP Paul. You will be missed.

I feared this was coming. Paul's Facebook page hadn't been updated since March, and I dreaded what that might mean. I didn't know Paul except through these pages, but in both exchanging information and in various trades we did I felt I knew him well. He was a real gentleman in my book, and fought the good fight against his disease, always optimistic and hopeful. I'm really sorry, and sincere regrets to his family.

What a disappointment. Someday, I hope we share a run together on the other side. Until then, rest in peace.

Same, sorry to hear about this, very sad day. I only knew him on here but enjoyed his posts as well as his sense of humor. Exchanged a number of PMs with him over the years especially in the past year or so encouraging him during his battle with cancer. He will definitely be missed on the forum.

Sad, very sad to hear, I met Paul at a CND demo day on the Sky, he was a nice guy. No more suffering though and the rivers are full of bright fish looking to take a skatter in Valhalla! RIP Paul!

I’m heartbroken with the passing of Paul. He was so full of life and always kept a conversation going and going and going! He was one in a million with a heart of gold. Whatever he did he dove in 100%. He started fishing a bit late in life but usually caught more fish than anyone else. He was a very accomplished fly tier and the consummate line junkie. The world (and our community) has lost a truly wonderful man. I know that he touched my life in a way that not many have done, I will miss him immensely. RIP buddy, I hope you are fighting a “big one” right now.
