UK Dealer information

There are a number of UK tackle dealers that regularly post items on the auction site. Just looking to do some due diligence before considering any purchases.

The ones I'm inquiring about are "nackymoo" and "tuftyjn", who usually have a lot of vintage stuff. If anyone has dealt with them, I'd appreciate hearing of your experience, good or not good. Have descriptions been accurate etc.?

Please feel free to PM if you'd rather the information be private. Thanks.

Nackymoo is Paul MacHugh and is a great seller
Have bought many items from him with no issues.

However there is a group that is based in Chester and has sellers named dabi6027, jorbai, reeld, and others.
The people are David Birt and Jordan and Ian Bailey.
They offer high end Hardy gear.
I bought a Zephrus 14'6" Spey rod that was advertised as mint and pristine but arrived with a split ferrule.
It's currently on it's way back to the UK.

Be aware that eBay's 100 % money back guarantee is not 100% if you are dealing in foreign exchange.
PayPal will collect a currency conversion fee when you buy the GBP for the purchase and if you return the item PayPal will credit you on the selling price of the GBP
It will cost you about 5-7 % of the item's price plus any duties etc. when the air clears.

Don't ask how I know this.

I purchased from Nackymoo , A+ , the guy worked with me to identify exactly the parts I needed and he taught me some reel history along the way.

Another positive review for Nackymoo. His descriptions are accurate and he's been good to deal with and fair with shipping. Look for a PM from me to contact him directly via email.

I,ve not bought anything from Nacky but would trust him as an honest seller. tuftyjn I have bought from many times and have always found his descriptions to be very honest and he usually draws attention to things that most wouldn,t even mention. have spoken to him on phone and while likely never get to meet man in person consider him a friend, have had good discussions with him about reels but also life and family too. Good guy and honourable. Daryl

Another plug for Nacky Moo on behalf of myself and a friend who has done business with him. I also spoke to him on the phone for about an hour once. During that call he told me that he had purchased a large lot of parts for reels from Hardy. Accordingly, he might be the person to contact if you're looking a wossname for a vintage Hardy reel.

Now if we can get him to pronounce skagit properly and not as SKAG-it.
