Diorama in my home office
I built this years ago after watching without disturbing for 1-1/2 hours a pair spawning steelhead doing their thing. The "mounts" are actually made of fiberglass. The female is even dropping eggs! I cut a 12'x6' wide hole in the side of my house and bumped it out 3'. The river stones where gotten from Lake Oantario and I have a big drift log with seaweed for the bottom along with a partially buried moose jawbone. LED lighting and sound was also added. The rear wall is curved and I painted it to match the water color I observed. There is a open alcove above for all sorts of memorabilia I've collected over the years and a shelf below with a large book collection, mostly on Alaska fishing. My drawing table sits alongside and I constantly get joy from looking at the display. I guess this might qualify me for a room at the Fishing Insane Asylum!
My loving wife of 35 years has mentioned more than once that when I die, it'll be the first thing that goes and she will have windows put in!!
Thanks for looking.
