No, there is a CnR but at the same time is a catch and keep King season. Only a 1/2 gong show. 😡

We have reaped what we sowed on this I am afraid.

2 years of fall chinook discussion and we, who care about the c&r season, failed to mobilize and present a significant opposition.

This season is a "test" season, so if we want to see a change I would suggest speaking loudly and regularly in opposition over the next year. I will not be buying an Idaho steelhead permit this year and plan on letting them know that...

No one wants to be involved until itís too late, and some canít be bothered even then.
I believe that the petition against this hot mess garnered all of 240 +/- signatures.
Thatís it.
Every steelheader in the country should have signed on.

WOW, now that sucks, i know i signed and posted it as much as i could, know others went even further...i would of thought we did way better but that is a sad statement....Well, we'll see how it goes, you never appreciate something till it's taken away and last year it was for me so this year even if it's just the GR and up higher i will try and enjoy it as much as i can...
Seeing friends, casting lines and taking in the beauty of the CW...eating Mexican at Taco Cesay? damn near every night...ah well it beats sitting in a chair getting pumped full of poison..

This was below the table of survey results:

"It is important to point out that 40% of the people who participated in the internet survey indicated they did not want to rank any of the fishery options because they didnít want to expand fall Chinook Salmon fishing opportunity in the Clearwater."

Never knew about a survey, but using one for an issue like this is chicken****. Leaders don't put everything to a vote. You're hired/elected to do a job. Look at the data and make the best decision you can. This is a bad decision that can be pushed off to a survey with few responses. Get some b****. What's the RIGHT thing to do?
