I've read the posts here and I can understand the frustration of all those who have had less than expected communication. However, the speculating, bad mouthing and "piling on" crap has to stop. Please refer to the "Sticky" thread at the top of every sub-forum :

https://www.speypages.com/speyclave/...e-conduct.html

Take note of #1.

1. Be civil, respectful and treat others as you want to be treated. Debating is perfectly appropriate, however personal attacks is not.

Continue with it and you will see the door ... no kidding.

I want to remind everyone here that due diligence is completely appropriate when selecting who you want to purchase from and who you want to sell to. Check a members profile, length of membership, what they post, etc... Use PayPal, do not waive the fees by sending Friend/Family, pay extra if you have to or work it out with the seller. It's cheap insurance. If a seller refuses and demands Friends/Family, that would be enough for me to cancel the deal. Buyers Beware, even on the Speypages.

This thread will remain open for information purposes only. Anything else will shut it down and appropriate actions will be made.

On the flip side, have any of you ever dealt with PayPal to get your money back? I have and it’s not pretty. I have yet to get my $380 back after an endless back and forth with PayPal Claims. After a few weeks I gave up in utter disgust. This was for a regular fee payment for merchandise.

I sent the $$ family and friends. So he would not have to pay the pay pal fees. So if I'd don't get the tips or if he does not send them I'm out the $$.

If somebody has a strike against them then let’s not do business with them. Period. We are not here for the B.S. just the fish talk and gear swapping. I always give a good deal and ship promptly and so do most guys. I also pay ASAP as do everybody I’ve done business with. Let’s keep it this way.

Generally speaking- assuming that a Paypal account linked up to a credit card could be doubly protected.

I once managed a full and rapid refund (plus postage) for an item (from the individual who produced it) when I presented the credit card company with the paper trail of events, in that instance Paypal was not involved.

How long did you guys have to wait? I ordered some parts from a reputable firm a couple months ago and it took over three weeks to deliver. Sat in Montana for a week. Sometimes things happen that delay delivery, as frustrating as it is, and no one is at fault. I think you all should apologize for smearing his name and reputation unnecessarily. Maybe he should have communicated better, and maybe he was unable. We don't know why the delays and his being incommunicado, but he made good. Now it is your turn.
Woodlander likes this.

Jet sleds/boats destroy redds in the spawning grounds with their turbulent jet wash, scouring the bottom and further burying some of the eggs while ejecting the rest into the stream flow to be eaten. To protect fish, these boats must be restricted from the spawning grounds.

Closing the thread down as people have received their merchandise and the rest of the issues are soon moot.
