Thumbs up Anyone with access to: Cromwells Hide, Stapleton, Bristol, United Kingdom ?

I've found a piece of spey gear desirable to me in Bristol/England.

Cromwells Hide, Stapleton, Bristol, United Kingdom

The usual online means of confirming reputation etc are not available, wondering if their's any forum members in the area that could confirm the item of gear does exist for me? Drop me an email please if this might be an option, very much appreciated!

As well if you've had experience shipping a rod to/from UK to N. America and have suggestions on a good service/cost option.

Many thanks.

Thanks Fred! Great Plan B. Not keen to sign up on another forum....each new one sucks another online life out of me (enjoyably!) and I'm nearing my limit at present I think , only one way to find out though I see a number of Bristol guys their, thanks again for great Plan B.

Thumbs up "Plan B."

The fellows on the FFF board can get a bit 'rowdy' at times (like now ) when the fishing season closes, but you'll recognize a few of the folks who also post here (Sagefly and Willie Gunn come to mind). But these folks are very free in stating (in print) if they think "she done me wrong."

You'll get the straight scoop.

Fred

Thanks again Fred, noone arose from here so I'll step into that forum and see if I get a taker.

Looking online it appears Royal Mail's about $30-40 pounds for shipping a rod.

HG - I ship rods back and forth from Europe to the States at regular intervals, I personally would suggest using a courier service and not one of the postal services; I use UPS. Delivery costs Europe>>USA are I guess about 80-100$'s (I am not used to shipping individual rods, min amount around 5 and that costs approx 140$'s). The std UPS delivery time is max 5 business days (normally 3). One thing you should bear in mind, get the shop to pack the rod in a rectangular box, round items are subject to a manual handling surcharge by almost all couriers.

Hope you enjoy the rod when it arrives.

Have fun.
