Tubes

I've been jonesing to get out and fish but the vise is all I can really do. Whipped these up after the little chicklets drifted off to sleep.

Is that a rabbit strip tied inside the first tube spider? Yeah, it was a scrap left over from a meaty morsel fly swap.

Second is on a short copper tube, hoping it will drop fast and wiggle a bit.

Third one has a flared cone up front. I clipped the deer hair away from the bottom so that this one might swim oriented, who knows.

Buggered the fourth one heating the tube after slipping on the cone head. The fly slipped, fell into the lighter flame and torched some of the hair and feathers. Way to go clutz, time to stop tying.

They are not very good, but I'm getting more comfortable with the tube process. In time some will look good. In two days most will get a chance to get wet.
