"Mid" belly line for Redington Hydrogen 3113

Been thinking of a "mid" belly line for trout spey for a few weeks now, and have been unable to find much info other than "nobody uses traditional lines on a switch (11'ish) rod". I tried a DT7F that I had laying around that weighs 300 grains @ 45' and it feels ridiculously light, like the rod isn't loading enough. Does anybody have any first hand experience or suggestions?
