OK ...here goes, there are the totals for the entire camp
First leg - main stem of the Restigouche upper section camp: June 14-17 (3 over 4 days), 3 canoes with 2 shared rods and one full rod, 9 hooked and 8 were landed. The largest fish was approximately 25lbs.
Second leg - Matapedia River lower section: June 17-20 (3 over 4 days), 3 canoes with 3 shared rods for all but last day. 2 fish hooked and released (one at 38 inches). The river appeared to be between the end of the Cascaspscal Run and start of the main river run
. Only saw one other fish move.
Final Leg - main stem of the Restigouche upper section camp: June 20-22 (2 days over 3), 3 canoes with shared rods. 7 fish hooked and 4 were landed. I personally landed my best two fish ever.
Overall, for an early season trip where you are taking risks with migratory fish, it played out more or less as expected. If i manage to download some photos, I will add to the thread.
The Restigouche has some real problems with the users on the river, imho ...I will outline in another thread.
Tine lines this summer.
