Strip off about one inch of the coating. You are now tying mono to mono. A perfection loop works for me. If I wanted to get really fancy, I would make a welded loop. I also have some tips that I have stripped the coating back and attatched a 20lb flouro butt section with a blood knot. Then give it a shot of knot sense.
