Found: reel

If anyone has lost a reel along the Rogue recently, email me at [email protected], or call 541-326-2549, describe the reel, and I'll get it back to you.

I was able to reconnect this lost reel with its owner.

This dude had some major troubles. Walking back to his car a couple weeks ago, he hooked his foot on some streamside debris, and went down with a thud, cracking his kneecap pretty hard. Upon reaching his car, he dismantled his rod, put the reel on the bonnet, then drove off. Time for a drink.

Today, two weeks later, he was at the car ready to leave, and lowered the hatch on his rod, breaking it.

He called up a fly shop I had notified about the lost reel, called me, and I was able to get his reel back to him.

He was due for some good news! Every once in a while it happens.

Good for you Bob!! Here is a similar story. My buddy and I were swinging flies one day. A guide and his sports were watching us from across the river. It was time for them to move,so they swung by us and we talked spey fishing for a few minutes, and off they went. A little while later, my sink tip got tangled up in something, and I ended up losing the whole fly line. THE NEXT YEAR we are fishing in the same area. A guide pulls in the area and hollers,"Hey,did you lose a fly line in here last year"? I yelled back,"Yeah,a 750 Skagit!" I see him hold up a zip lock bag,"I got it he says!!" He motored over and gave it to me..I thanked him, gave him a high five, and off he went!
