How-To Properly Care and Store Your Vintage Fishing Lures

Quote:
Finding vintage lures can require a great investment of time and money—so it’s important that you continue to take proper care of them to ensure your investment lasts.

Fishing as a recreational pastime has been part of our culture for almost as long as we have had a culture. Modern angling really took form during the late 1800s, and in the early 1900s the art of lure making as a business took off. Collecting these vintage lures is not only a nod to our past as a society, but a look at the art of lure making. While some lures can be found easily, finding old lures in good condition can be a challenge, and can represent a healthy investment of time and money. You need to take care of your vintage lure collection to ensure it remains in good condition for future generations.

This is a sub forum created by Admin for their larger groups of forums and sponsorship. We'd asked that they create a sub forum for that content in the interest of keeping it in a single location versus across Spey Pages. These are legit sponsors for Vertical Scope, just not necessarily topic specific to Spey Pages.

Appreciate the understanding.

I can't toss those on the end of my fly rod! I do have a Helin's Fly-Rod Flatfish in the original box that was given to me years ago.

The release ensures another dance
