I am new member from British Columbia, Canada. Don’t have my spey rod yet but I have 11.6ft switch rod and shorter Skagit line. Have to learn basics and eventually have compact (5-6 piece) spey rod for my bikefishing trips. Something from Fenwick maybe. Thank you in advance for your patience with me. I will have spey class this winter for sure.

Zoran, your switch rod IS a spey rod, just a short one.

I love your idea of spey fishing with a bicycle!

Enjoy the forum. There are many enthusiastic knowledgeable, well-traveled and experienced anglers here.

Science is not common sense. Much of it is devoted to a systematic documentation of what we do not know and understand.

Hey Zoran

Hello from Portland!!! Sounds like you a have a good starter kit! Once you get the basics down I would start looking into scandi lines for summer fish!!! Nothing beats getting a steelhead to rise to a dry fly!!! Good luck out there and welcome to the forum!
