Hey everyone! I've always been lurking your classifieds pages looking for single handed gear but lately I've been thinking of adding a spey to my Arsenal. I'm in Denver, CO and have been single handing for about 10+ years and have been fortunate enough to do some of the saltwater fly fishing including hooking some good size fish. Nothing large for the trouts sadly or at least compared to my buddy but I've had them on the end of my hook I just tend to loose them.

Anyways I was thinking about adding a 2 handed rod to my Arsenal for when I go high altitude lake fishing for some smaller trout (6-12"). The reason I'm thinking of this 2 handed route is I always seem to have a huge rock or trees at my back. Any recommendations on length and grain weight?

I was thinking of a 3wt but don't know what would be the ideal length and grain weight. Think a scandii line is probably ideal since I probably don't want to disturb the water "too" much and rainbows/cuts seem to be spooky versus your browns who like large splashes/large flies
