I've been on this site several times over the years, but not real active so I thought I would introduce myself.
I fish a couple times a month if not weekly when my favorite fisheries are at their prime. Fortunately I travel throughout Oregon and SW Washington for work allowing me to stop and take 2-3 hour mini sessions when I'm near a river. I turns out to be very rewarding at times and forces me to fish areas I would not otherwise set as a destination fishery. Often times when I get lucky and shake hands with a hatchery fish I don't have a cooler with me. I've learned the most effective way to keep a morning fish throughout the day while working is to turn my waders inside out and stuff the fish down a leg. A quick stop at the convenience store for a bag of ice emptied down the leg of the waders will keep it fresh all day.
When I do get to choose my destination it's generally the north coast rivers of Oregon in the winter and the Cowlitz, North Umpqua, and Deschutes in summer.
