Hello all

Started spey fishing about 15 years ago in the PNW. Life took me away from the game for about 8 years. Now I am back and wanting to pick up where I left off. Quickly finding out casting is not like riding a bike, though it is coming back. I hope to learn a few tidbits and maybe be able to contribute myself to the page. Tight lines! Andy

Welcome back. I, too, just recently returned, in a manner of speaking, after a long hiatus and fishing the single hander in lakes, a la Brian Chan. I found a lot of info on YouTube about spey casting and the OPST lines, and decided to give a light two hander a swing and the rest is history. Yeah, right, as all I proved is my casting with the two hander had become history.

In any case, again, welcome Mr. AJSmith.

Jet sleds/boats destroy redds in the spawning grounds with their turbulent jet wash, scouring the bottom and further burying some of the eggs while ejecting the rest into the stream flow to be eaten. To protect fish, these boats must be restricted from the spawning grounds.

Touche, without the accent point. Yeah, me fix.

[Per the edit: Been up all night, insomnia, part of getting old. Thanks for the heads-up.]
