New Member Introduction!
Hello, all! It is a pleasure to be a part of such a great community with a common interest. I have heard nothing but good praises about this forum so I decided to join. Just by initial impressions I am impressed by the professionalism expressed here as well as the courtesy.
I am new to spey fishing completely. I have been fly fishing with a single hand rod since childhood but I didn't realize the versatility of fly fishing until a couple of years ago (I am in my mid 20s). So, for all intents and purposes, I am an "advanced beginner". I have more theoretical understanding than practical knowledge, which still isn't much, so I intend to learn as much from everyone here as possible.
I am from South East Michigan which, to be honest, isn't the greatest area for spey fishing. But, still water single hand fly fishing is great for bass and the like, so I am interested in seeing if people use two handed set ups on still water as well.
Thank you for reading my post, and I wish you all the best!
