After being a "lurker" for many years, I have decided to join the board.
I have been a resident of Oregon since 1979.
I caught my first winter Steelhead, on a fly, in December, 1977. That was on the North Fork of the Toutle River. Back in those days, we made our own shooting heads for winter fishing.
People who fly fished winter steelhead were very small in number, and considered eccentric hopeless romantics.
How times have changed !!
I have enjoyed the knowledge and information shared here.
It's great site.
