multiplied fly reel

It's been some time now that i'm thinking about getting a multiplied fly reel.
could you give me some options ? (if possible not to expensive)

Do they still make those things? Seriously though, there are a lot more moving parts in a multiplying reel. Most have gone to large arbor reels instead. The other advantage of large arbors is line memory, larger coils & fewer of them. I suspect you'll also find large arbor reels to be less expensive due to the numbers produced.

Farlex, Saracione and Noel are a few. None are inexpensive and will run you upwards of 12 bills with the latter being two or three times that. Bogdanís are available used but around 3K.

There are also a few other bench made options out these but also quite pricey. Iíve heard rumors about a 2:1 Olson but canít verify that.

All that aside, I really like mine and in some ways prefer it to a direct drive. When a fish is running at you they are stellar.
