Red face New to the forum

Hi all,
Brand new to this forum but have been using the two hander for 12mths or so now.Its a Sage Tcx 5119-4 and I love it. No river applications over here in Oz but i find it a great lake tool.Havn't seen one other person using a switch/spey rod in my local area,so I guess it's only me.I get a fair few looks from the older single handle brigade, however when I can reach the fish they can't I just give them a subtle wink and keep fishing.I,m addicted already and as I said loving every moment of the two handed game.Look forward to the many interesting topics and discussing coming.
Cheers
Justin

Welcome aboard.

I love the looks and the questions:

1-What is that your using?
2-There's no trout here is there?
3-Is it hard to do?
etc, etc........

Which way to the river?

Gidday Justin, Welcome to the Pages. There are a few Oz lads on this site, most of us down here in Tassie, where we have no shortage of river applications. Like yourself I use the big sticks on still water as well and also out of boats for loch style fishing. There are also a few Kiwi's about that certainly know the ropes.
This is a good site with lots of freely given information and pretty good manners as well, which is nice. It's good to have another crew member posting from this side of the ball.
To EF... Mate , you know all those trout in NZ? They came from Tasmania in about 1870. The Fly Fishing World Championships are being held here in March 2019.... We have trout
Cheers....Jimmy
