Yo good people of the internet, how we doing?
My name is Dylan McGregor, I work for North 40 Fly Shop in Lewiston, Idaho. I fell in love with steelhead when I was youngblood. My father and I would pull plugs from his boat on the Columbia River. It was not until '14 that I picked up a two handed rod for the first time, I hated it. With some perseverance I eventually got the swing of it(pun intended) and have been enamored ever since. I also like to fish for trout, bass, carp, and I pick up a conventional rod from time to time(to fish for bass, spring chinook, and whatever I is biting). I believe the only way that anglers will ever have a chance at bringing back wild steelhead is to get fly anglers and conventional anglers to come together against our fisheries management. The only difference between the two are the tactics you use to catch fish, and maybe some brain cells(only kidding on that one)
. Lets face it, their are a select few who have only ever fished with fly rods, at one point the majority either started out with conventional tackle or have fished using it. So lets find a common ground and bring back the Anadromous fish runs to the west coast, and all across the world. Thank you for your time. Peace. Enjoy YOUR time on this existence.
