New Guy from Northern California
Been a lurker here for a few weeks and really enjoyed myself. Been a reasonably good single hand caster for about 40 years...maybe more. Was born in Lewiston Idaho, right on the Clearwater where I fished many great days with my Grandfather on it and many of its great tributaries...even the North Fork before Dworshak, when it was still wild.
Two years ago a friend and I decided to go back to our cabin in Winchester and fish the Clearwater and of course that decision necessitated longer rods and a two handed technique. After three days of hard fishing we got three tugs and landed one fish. Felt pretty crappy until Poppy at the Red Shed informed us that was pretty average. (Is the Red Shed just the best place or what!)
At any rate, my technique needs a lot of work, my line and tackle knowledge needs to expand, and I think this might be the perfect place to do that.
Thanks for having me
I'm headed to the Skeena River system next April, so I'm going to be looking out for a good Burkie or Meiser set up.
