Do you guys swing Damsels?

The Damsel Fly Nymph is a huge food source on the Williamson and the Sprague. These meaty nymphs are great sources of big trout food to mimic. They are good swimmers (perfect for us who try to present a swung offering) and they are consistent all summer long. In Southern Oregon they are one of my go to food sources! With that said, I thought it would be cool to pass on my favorite pattern to you all, so I created this video to show you how to tie it. Hope it works for you!

Thanks for the video - that looks like a quick and effective fly. I'll definitely give it a try.

I have both damselflies and dragonflies on my waters. The latter is more meaty, so I focus on the dragonfly. Maybe they are in the flowing water, but I will use dragonfly nymph pattern around iris and other weeds in the virtually stopped water, as the dragonfly and damsels flies like to land on the weed tops.

In this locations, I also find the wooly worm effective to.
