So my river finally dropped and the sun was out so what else was a man supposed to do???????

landlocked steelhead, if the 4.25 perfect is any indication? sweet fish. i'd trade you one day on the coast tomorrow for a day there in a heart beat. but just one day. got a Learjet ?

Yes very fortunate to live where I do
The Columbia is on fire right now and will be till mid April
Heres a couple flies that are gone to the Native Fish Society for auction for ya.

These fish seem to have decent shoulders on them too ... certainly much larger that the trout in my neck of the woods

Beauty flies !! You have great skills ... I really enjoy viewing your patterns, some great inspiration !!

Compliments on the photo of the fly on the reel, by the way, one of the more creative fishing shots I've seen in a long time. Usually don't photograph fish or fishermen, with one big exception being in the Salang Pass long ago when the Afghan kids with long stick poles out-fished us totally!

We're getting more snow tonight as March continues its Lion-like character. Did squeeze in a day before the big snow (only a foot around here, more in Northern NJ) and had luck on midge larva on our small river.

Oh, to fish the Columbia!! Makes my two hand(er)s itchy!
